Three Acts
- Act 1 (1-4): Main chord establishes home
- Act 2 (5-8): Subdominant opens space, returns home

Blues Scale
1—b3—4—b5—5—b7 (six notes)
The beauty is "safe": these six notes sound good over I-IV-V no matter how you combine them.
