Same pitch can be written sharp or flat (#F = bG). Following the circle of fifths gives 15 key names.

Four Steps Per Key

  1. Scale + arpeggio: Up/down + arpeggio (1-3-5-high1-5-3-1)
  2. Map chords: Label each scale degree with its chord
  3. Modal tour: Generate all modes from this key, play each
  4. Musical application: Write or play a jazz piece in this key
